We’re adding two field engineers who want autonomy in the field and the strength of a global CNC leader behind them.

How the role works

• Start your day at our Sterling Heights facility, then dispatch to customer sites
• Travel up to 25% across the U.S. and abroad; overnights as customer needs dictate
• Tackle both mechanical and electrical challenges on CNC machinery

Core responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on CNC machines
• Diagnose complex issues across drives, controls, and mechanical systems
• Execute system inspections, alignments, and adjustments
• Read and apply electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation
• Produce accurate service reports and communicate findings
• Partner with engineering to resolve advanced problems
• Deliver an outstanding customer experience on every visit

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC field service or equipment repair experience
• Robust mechanical/electrical aptitude and CNC operations knowledge
• Competence with schematics and technical manuals
• Expert troubleshooting and problem resolution
• Professional communication and customer interface skills
• Valid driver’s license (Enhanced License a plus)

Authorization requirement

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship and meet company auto insurance requirements.

• Heidenhain controls
