Job Summary

Versatile US is seeking a dependable and organized Shipping & Receiving Team Lead to oversee daily shipping and receiving operations in our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for coordinating material flow, leading team members, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting on-time deliveries. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and comfortable leading by example.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Receiving Operations

• Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments, including loading, unloading, and staging.

• Ensure all shipments are accurate, complete, and meet delivery schedules.

• Receive incoming materials and verify counts, condition, and documentation.

• Schedule and communicate with freight carriers and delivery services.

Team Leadership

• Lead, train, and support shipping & receiving team members.

• Assign daily tasks and prioritize workload based on production needs.

• Promote safe work practices and accountability across the team.

Inventory & Systems

• Maintain accurate inventory records and material traceability.

• Use ERP systems to record receipts, shipments, and inventory movements ( Global Shop experience a plus ).

• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

Safety & Organization

• Enforce forklift and material-handling safety procedures.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and tour-ready shipping and receiving area.

• Support 5S standards and continuous improvement efforts.

Communication & Planning

• Communicate with production, purchasing, and project management teams to align priorities.

• Identify potential shipping delays and proactively communicate solutions.

• Support labor planning, scheduling, and overtime needs when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse operations, preferably in manufacturing.

• Team lead or supervisory experience preferred.

• Forklift experience (certification preferred or ability to obtain).

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience using ERP systems; Global Shop experience is a plus.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical job requirements.

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

• Friday overtime as needed
