Community Liaison
Description
Schedule: 20 hours per week | Part Time | Monday - Thursday and every other Friday, 4pm to 9pm.
Department: Admin | Cook Valley Estates | Grand Rapids, Michigan
What You'll Do In This Role:
Be the welcoming face and trusted connection for the Cook Valley community. As a Community Liaison, you’ll play a key role in supporting daily operations through administrative coordination while delivering outstanding customer service to residents and visitors. From answering questions to keeping communication flowing smoothly, you’ll help create a friendly, organized, and responsive environment where residents feel heard, supported, and at home.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Assist the Director in developing, organizing, and implementing administrative procedures and special projects.
- Prepare and process correspondence, newsletters, reports, and statistical data for Cook Valley Estates.
Mail and Communication Management
- Coordinate and distribute internal mail, U.S. mail, and newspapers.
- Maintain the highest standards of customer service in all interactions.
Marketing Assistance
- Support the marketing programs by running newspaper ads and coordinating mailings.
- Stay informed about marketing materials and community aspects to answer inquiries from prospects.
Resident Services
- Manage the room reservation process for community rooms, the private dining room, and guest rooms.
- Ensure adequate office supplies, resident essentials, and marketing materials are readily available.
Dining Support
- Assist the Dining Team in delivering meals to residents.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Prior administrative experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipment (e.g., phone systems, printers).
- The ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to work independently, with precision to detail
