Job Title: Medical Assistant (MA)

Location: Caro, MI 48723 - Must be willing to float between three nearby locations (within 1–2 miles)
Pay:

• Locals (within 35 miles): $17.00–$18.50/hr

• Travelers (outside 35 miles): $19.00–$20.50/hr

Shift Type: Days
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (no weekends)
Dress Code: Matching Scrubs or Business Casual
Job Type: W2 work assignment with potential for extension or conversion to direct based on attendance, performance, and business needs.

Job Description

The Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting physicians and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role is responsible for patient care assistance, clerical support, and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients and families. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to provide compassionate care in a busy medical setting.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist patients with courtesy and professionalism.

• Obtain brief patient history, record complaints, prepare for exams, and take vital signs.

• Provide patient and family education, counseling, and teaching as appropriate.

• Assist physicians with exams, procedures, and patient flow.

• Perform clerical duties including scheduling, referrals, answering phones, and completing forms.

• Administer injections under physician direction.

• Stock exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure supplies are maintained.

• Support orientation and training of new staff with a focus on nursing-related functions.

• Participate in staff meetings and in-services.

• Assume charge duties as needed in the absence of supervisory staff.

• Complete other duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of clerical Medical Assistant experience – Required

• Comfortable with phone call handling, greetings, processing, mailing, and cleaning – Required

• High School Diploma – Required

• BLS – Not Required

• Must be willing to float between three nearby locations (within 1–2 miles).
