Part-Time Customer Service Representative - City Clerk

The Customer Service Representative for the City Clerk's Office is a part-time position that requires the individual to work a minimum of 15 and maximum of 29 hours per week (except during election cycles). Due to the cyclical and time-sensitive nature of elections, the Office periodically experiences elevated workloads-particularly in the weeks leading up to and immediately following Election Day. In recognition of this, the position requires flexible scheduling and availability for extended hours.

A Customer Service Representative helps with general office tasks like typing, filing, and record keeping. They provide customer service, take dictation, and support the department head by managing correspondence, records, reports, and routine administrative work. In this department, they also handle specialized office tasks such as processing passports, elections, and licenses.

Necessary Qualifications For Employment:

• Required education level includes a high school diploma.
• Preferred experience of one to two years related clerical work.
• Proven track record of establishing and continuing effective working relationships with co-workers and the public.

Compensation and schedule:

Starting at $21-$24 per hour, no benefits.

Up to 15-29 hours per week. Possible shifts are expecting 10am or 11am - 2pm when office activity is slower, and additional hours during election cycles, up to 8am-5pm and hours outside of normal business.
