Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Correctional
Location: Romulus, NY 14541
Duration: 26 Weeks
Job Type: Contract
Shift: Mid Shift | 5x8 Hours (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 Hours per Week
Pay Range: $55 – $60/hour

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Registered Nurse (RN) – Correctional Healthcare  for an exciting job in Romulus, NY.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a correctional facility, ensuring safety and quality standards.

• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and manage both acute and chronic health conditions.

• Develop and execute individualized care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments per facility policies and provider orders.

• Educate patients on health maintenance, hygiene, and disease prevention.

• Supervise and guide Graduate Nurses, LPNs, and other clinical staff.

• Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and other healthcare team members.

• Accurately document all patient care and maintain strict confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.

• Promote a secure, therapeutic, and respectful environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience , preferably in correctional, emergency, or acute care settings.

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

• Ability to work autonomously and effectively under pressure.

• Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in correctional, forensic, or mental health nursing .

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary care team
