Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Livonia, MI is $96,741 – $132,800 per year and this role may be eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Provide intelligence to sales teams based on technical relationship with the user community, including providing assessment of business impact with our company’s software, early identification of red flags on license renewals, identifying growth opportunities and/or business changes that may impact software sales. Responsible for technical success of assigned accounts. Utilizing knowledge of customers business needs and engineering processes. Provide details on the technical aspects of how the company’s product solves specific customer problems to establish software at prospect accounts or increase consumption at existing accounts. Prepare and deliver demonstrations of technical capabilities of the proposed solutions to customers using standard and custom material. Work collaboratively with targeted accounts to ensure adoption of new capabilities. Report progress on owned initiatives to sales and management regularly. Participate actively in relevant Application Communities, leveraging best practices, sharing experiences to support continual improvement. Develop and deliver tailored training programs. Provide feedback to Product Development on customer requirements to input into the creation of the product roadmap and influence the design of new product functionality and industry solutions. Lead the interaction with product development on product related issues that are impacting the performance or the functionality of the customers’ solution.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered or in an Application Support Engineer-related occupation. Position requires experience in the following: Working with simulation software used for modeling and analyzing multi-domain systems in mechanical, hydraulic and thermal domains; Working with classical mechanics, electromagnetism, and advanced calculus, including differential equations and linear algebra; Applying mathematical concepts such as vector analysis, complex variables, and partial differential equations; Working with differential equations and numerical methods; Working with simulation of control systems and signal processing; Working with Amesim, Flomaster, GT Suite, MATLAB/Simulink, or Modelica; Working with programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB; Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues; Preparing documentation of technical problems and solutions; Developing and delivering tailored training programs. Telecommuting and/or work from home is permitted pursuant to company policy. 20% domestic travel is required. [Hybrid role]
