Travel Nurse Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Healthcare Setting: Surgery – Operating Room (OR)
• Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan (MI), 48109
• Start Dates: 9/30/2025, 10/7/2025 (EPIC experience required), 10/20/2025, 10/21/2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 3x12-hour shifts/week; rotating start times (07:00–19:00, 09:00–21:00, 11:00–23:00); day/night rotation options (07:00–19:00, 19:00–07:00)
• On-call: Variable, by specialty; 30-minute response time required
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Scrubs: Provided
• Charting System: EPIC (preferred; required for 10/7/2025 start)
• Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (required at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (1.5 years preferred)
• BLS certification (required)
• Clinical experience in at least three of the following: Thoracic, ENT, Neuro, Oral surgery
• Two direct supervisory references (required at submission)
• Ability to respond to on-call within 30 minutes
• EPIC charting experience preferred (required for 10/7/2025 start date)
• Flu vaccination required (no religious or medical exemptions)

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver perioperative nursing care for adult patients in neurosurgery, otolaryngology, oral maxillofacial, thoracic (excluding transplant), and spine procedures
• Circulate and scrub in a wide range of complex surgical cases
• Maintain strict infection control and patient safety protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services
• Operate advanced surgical equipment (Storz integration, Skytron lights/booms/beds)
• Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring timely response and coverage
• Document patient care using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Support a Level 1 trauma center with high-acuity surgical cases
