What You'll Do
Every day is different, but your responsibilities may include:
- Preparing ingredients according to our recipes and quality standards
- Portioning food accurately
- Making sauces, dressings, soups, and other prep items
- Preparing ingredients for burgers, sandwiches, flatbreads, pastas, and appetizers
- Keeping the kitchen fully stocked and organized for service
- Assisting line cooks when needed
- Helping with dishes when necessary
- Cleaning kitchen equipment and maintaining a clean facility
- Rotating product using FIFO and practicing proper food safety
- Adjusting prep levels based on business volume and sales trends
- Using POS sales data to help determine prep pars and prepare the kitchen for busy shifts

The ideal Cornerstone Prep Cook is someone who:
- Has previous kitchen or prep experience (preferred)
- Works well independently
- Is dependable and self-motivated
- Loves staying organized
- Is fast without sacrificing accuracy
- Pays attention to the small details
- Takes pride in doing things the right way
- Thinks ahead and prepares for what's coming next
- Enjoys creating order in a fast-paced kitchen
- Wants to continue learning and improving

Physical Requirements
- Stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Perform repetitive knife work
- Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Scheduling
This is a part-time position.
Most shifts are mornings, with occasional evenings as business demands.
Weekend availability is required.
Our busiest times—including October events, the Cornerstone Christmas Experience, and holidays—are all hands on deck, so limited time off is available during those periods.
