Position Details
This position is responsible for advancing student wellness and safety by creating systems for health care management across Portage Public Schools, Schoolcraft Schools, and Vicksburg Community Schools (Southern Service Area). The Registered School Nurse provides training to district staff on specialized medical procedures, oversees medication and health plan documentation, supervises SSA Certified Nursing Assistants, serves as a liaison between families and healthcare providers, and offers on-call consultation for severe medical needs and emergencies. Rather than attending to building-level health room operations, this role focuses on students with complex health conditions that require professional nursing expertise.
