Job Description

Job Description

InvestNext — Simplifying real estate investment, amplifying opportunity, built to scale.
At InvestNext, we’re building a connected real estate investment management platform that gives GPs and Investor Relations teams the essential tools to cultivate strong investor relationships, reduce administrative expenses, and grow portfolios.

Inspired by our Detroit roots, we’re democratizing real estate investing for all, and reshaping the future with the same grit and bold vision that has driven Detroit’s resurgence. For us, democratizing real estate investing is more than just a mission—it’s a movement. We're creating accessible pathways for everyone to engage in wealth-building opportunities, transforming how people invest and secure their futures.

A mission focused on real transformation. We’re building a diverse team that’s passionate about our culture, our product, and our purpose. Joining us isn’t just about a job—it’s about aligning with a movement that combines professional growth with genuine community change. Here, you’re not just building a career; you’re helping redefine the future of real estate investing.

Senior Product Designer

At InvestNext, design isn’t just about making things look good, it’s about making them work beautifully. As a Senior Product Designer , you’ll turn complex ideas into intuitive, scalable experiences that help our users move faster and feel confident doing it.

You’ll collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to translate insights into seamless interfaces, smooth interactions, and experiences that just make sense. You’ll help shape how we design, prototype, and test, bringing clarity to ambiguity and pushing for high-quality execution every step of the way.

If you're equal parts creative thinker and systems-level problem solver — and you get a thrill from turning user needs into elegant, functional designs — this role is for you.

Who we are

We’re a tight-knit, mission-driven design team that thrives on solving complex problems with clean, scalable solutions. Our users are highly analytical, so we design with clarity, utility, and precision in mind; but we care just as much about craft, quality, and the little details that make software feel good.

We move fast, iterate often, and work closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Experience teams to build tools that actually make life easier. If you’re energized by collaborative problem-solving, thoughtful systems, and the chance to shape a high-impact platform from the inside out, you’ll love it here.

In this role, you will

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for a core product area with full ownership from early discovery through to polished handoff. As a key member of your sprint team, you’ll drive strategy and execution in step with Product and Engineering, shaping direction, unblocking progress, and ensuring every detail delivers on a cohesive, high-quality user experience.
  • Evolve our design system by contributing reusable components, scalable patterns, and clear guidelines that support consistency across the platform.
  • Deliver polished, accessible, and intuitive interfaces for both desktop and mobile experiences.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to uncover insights, validate assumptions, and ground your work in real needs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align on product strategy, define scope, and bring high-quality designs into production.
  • Contribute to team rituals , design critiques, and documentation to level up our design culture and workflows.
  • Ground your design decisions in real human insight. Connect directly with clients through one-on-one interviews and surveys to deeply understand their needs, uncover pain points, and validate assumptions early on.
  • Measure and iterate on the success of your designs post-launch, using product analytics and user feedback to guide improvements.

If you’re right for this role, you

  • Have 5+ years of experience as a UI/UX designer, with a portfolio that showcases effective, user-centered design across complex systems
  • Have a background in graphic design, web design, or other related field
  • Are comfortable navigating ambiguity, scoping MVPs, and advocating for user needs in a fast-moving environment.
  • Bring experience in B2B SaaS, Fintech, or other highly structured, data-heavy environments
  • Communicate your design decisions clearly to cross-functional partners and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate strong visual design skills, with an eye for usability, consistency, and craft
  • Have working knowledge of tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Understand design systems like Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and Google’s Material Design
  • Have a basic understanding of HTML/CSS (enough to collaborate with engineers effectively)

Our tech stack

  • Figma
  • Adobe Suite
  • GitHub
  • Confluence
  • Jira

Metrics that matter

  • Design system velocity : New or improved components/patterns that accelerate design and development workflows
  • Usability impact : Improvements in task completion rates, CSAT, or error reduction in high-traffic user journeys

  • Collaboration quality: Positive peer and stakeholder feedback on design clarity, communication, and execution
  • Craft excellence: Design work meets or exceeds internal standards for accessibility, polish, and responsiveness across devices

  • Robust 99% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401k with 100% employer match, up to 4% of your annual salary

  • 11 company-wide holidays per year
  • 16 weeks of paid parental leave
  • Travel to spend time with the team, including company-wide offsites
  • Laptop of choice
