General Laborer

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17.50 - $18 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a General Laborer:

• Ensure adherence to safety standards and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Load and unload materials from storage areas, production areas, docks, and delivery vehicles
• Sort and separate various types of scrap metal
• Operate mobile equipment including forklifts, skid steers, street sweepers, and water trucks
• Perform physical labor using tools such as torch cutting tools, chop saws, and other metal-processing tools used in welding and fabrication work
• Assist mechanics in equipment maintenance and repairs
• Identify grades and types of scrap metals and remove non-conforming materials
• Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties around plant equipment
• Direct or assist customers and truck drivers in the yard

Available shifts:

Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day), 2nd Shift (Evening)

Job requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
• Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor industrial conditions
• Background check and drug screening required
