Salary Range: $55,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Train and mentor shipping and receiving team members, providing guidance and support.
• Manage inventory levels within the shipping and receiving areas, conducting regular cycle counts.
• Coordinate with carriers for inbound and outbound shipments, negotiating rates and scheduling pickups.
• Ensure all shipments are properly documented, labeled, and prepared according to company and carrier standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shipping and receiving department.
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to incoming or outgoing goods.
• Implement and improve shipping and receiving processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a shipping and receiving environment, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and shipping/receiving systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Knowledge of shipping regulations, documentation, and logistics.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items, and operate material handling equipment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
• Basic understanding of inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP)
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations and documentation
