Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Lansing, Michigan 48912
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Facility: Short Term Acute Care, Magnet/Teaching/Level 1 Trauma Hospital
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: January 6, 2026
• Contract Duration: 18 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 3 shifts/week (36 hours/week)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekends per 4-week schedule
• Floating: Required to all adult acute care units, Med/Surg, and Stepdown
• Scrub Color: Hunter Green
• Parking: Free with badge access to parking garage
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1840 - $1890

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license (required by start date; compact licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• EPIC EMR charting experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred)
• Proficient in telemetry, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
• Ability to float to all adult acute care units as needed
• Available to work 2 of 3 major holidays (including the day before and after)
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Nursing Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in Med/Surg Telemetry units
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and provide timely interventions
• Administer medications, IVs, blood products, and manage central/PICC lines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy
• Float to various adult acute care units, including stepdown, as required
• Document patient care using EPIC EMR system
• Participate in rapid response and code situations
• Maintain infection control and isolation precautions
• Support patients with a variety of diagnoses including cardiac, orthopedic, trauma, oncology, and surgical cases
