Imagine starting your day reviewing the service backlog, prioritizing urgent customer requests, and mapping out the parts and tooling needed to keep advanced CNC systems humming. By mid-morning, you’re on a call guiding a field engineer through a FANUC diagnostic, followed by aligning quotes and POs so the next on-site intervention lands on time and on budget. In the afternoon, you connect with after-sales, parts, and engineering to resolve a customer issue, then close the loop with a crisp report that builds trust and keeps projects moving.

- Be the professional point of contact for customers and field service engineers, ensuring clear, timely communication.
- Deliver hands-on technical guidance to field engineers, technicians, and the parts team.
- Own the service backlog—monitor, sequence, and optimize workflow for efficiency and on-time resolution.
- Act as the interface between technicians and higher service tiers within the EMAG Group.
- Prepare cost estimates from defined scopes and customer/engineer discussions.
- Plan task lists, produce quotes and reports, and coordinate resources to resolve customer requests quickly.
- Strengthen relationships across customers, vendors, and internal teams to foster collaboration and trust.
- Oversee sourcing, shipment, and tracking of parts and tooling; manage POs and invoicing to enable seamless service delivery.
- Troubleshoot scheduling conflicts, pricing questions, reporting errors, invoice discrepancies, and disputes.
- Translate EMAG machine know-how into practical, high-quality service execution with cross-functional partners.
- Help lead field service initiatives that evolve with customer needs and organizational goals.
- Track field engineer travel and labor time; complete Service department invoicing and filing.
- Take on additional assignments as needed.
- 8–10 years as a Service Engineer/Technician in the machine building industry.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office and cloud/SaaS tools; SAP experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of FANUC and/or Siemens controls.
- German language skills are a plus.
- Exceptionally organized; calm under pressure with mature, professional conduct.
- Thrives in fast-paced, multitask-heavy settings with critical deadlines.
- Excellent communicator—able to translate complex tech issues for non-technical stakeholders.

- Basic understanding of ISO 9001/14001.
- Equipment troubleshooting and diagnostics (industrial automation and CNC)

Plant manufacturing may be noisy from time to time, especially when visiting customer sites. Hearing protection may be required in some circumstances.
Ability to multi-task and meet critical deadlines
Overtime may be necessary as work load’s dictate. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
Job will generally be performed in an office environment, but may require travel to and visit a customer’s office, production facility or job site. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.
