Senior Accountant

Description Our client in Bloomfield, CT is seeking an accomplished Senior Accountant for a contract opportunity. Key Responsibilities: + Support the Controller in executing departmental functions + Prepare company financial statements for year-end audits + Assist with monthly and annual close processes + Prepare and review federal, state, and local income, sales, and personal property tax filings with supporting work papers + Prepare monthly journal entries and maintain fixed asset records, including depreciation + Reconcile general ledger accounts + Prepare accounting statements and financial reports for external auditors + Participate in special projects as needed Requirements + Master's degree in Accounting or Finance + Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and accrual accounting principles + Hands-on experience with ERP systems + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (pivot tables, formulas, reporting) + Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels + Outstanding analytical skills, detail orientation, and task follow-through + Proven ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities + Exceptional organizational and reconciliation skills + High level of accuracy and accountability + Quick learner with the ability to work independently and in a team environment + Demonstrated judgment in planning and achieving goals Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
