Salary Range: $62,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs (G-code) for milling machines.
• Generate efficient and safe tool paths using CAM software.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials and operations.
• Design or collaborate on workholding fixtures and tooling strategies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, program errors, and process inefficiencies.
• Optimize machining processes to improve cycle times, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate program files, setup sheets, and tooling documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for generating toolpaths.
• Strong understanding and ability to write and edit G-code and M-code.
• Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, workholding strategies, and material properties for various metals.
• Proven experience in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting 3-axis (and preferably multi-axis) CNC milling machines.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CNC simulation software (e.g., Vericut) for program verification.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machine operation, setup, and tooling selection.
• Proficiency in 5-axis programming or advanced machining strategies (e.g., high-speed machining, adaptive milling).
• Familiarity with post-processor editing or G-code macro programming.
