We are seeking a Cold Header Operator for our 2nd shift operation. This individual will be responsible for operating and monitoring multi-station cold heading equipment, including Sacma and National machines, to produce quality fasteners and components while maintaining production standards and safety requirements. Setup experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities- Operate and monitor Sacma and National cold heading machines to produce parts according to specifications and production schedules.
- Perform routine quality checks using gauges and measuring tools to ensure parts meet customer requirements.
- Load material, make minor adjustments, troubleshoot basic issues, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Complete production documentation and communicate equipment or quality concerns to supervisors and maintenance personnel.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies while meeting productivity goals.
- Previous experience operating cold heading equipment , preferably Sacma or National machines.
- Ability to read work instructions and use basic measuring instruments.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues.
- Setup experience on cold headers is highly desirable but not required.
- Ability to work independently on 2nd shift and lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with multi-die cold heading machines.
- Knowledge of fastener manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Ability to perform machine setups and changeovers.
