Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods against specifications.
• Document non-conformances, generate inspection reports, and maintain accurate quality records.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product dimensions and features.
• Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support corrective action implementation.
• Conduct internal audits and participate in supplier quality assessments to ensure compliance with standards.
• Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment and measurement tools according to established schedules.
• Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience in manufacturing quality.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
• Demonstrated experience using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and basic data analysis techniques.
• Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) principles (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Strong computer literacy, including MS Office Suite and data entry into QMS software.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certification (e.g., CQT, CQIA)
• Experience with CMM programming or advanced metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems)
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification
