Founded in 1975, Child Health Associates, P.C. has a long history of providing innovative, high quality medical care to the children of the Detroit metropolitan area. Our doctors are board certified M.D. pediatricians who work out of offices in both Troy and Novi.
Our practice employs cutting edge technology including electronic medical records, direct to pharmacy prescription requests, and a HIPAA secure website.
Successful candidates will perform the following:
- Triage patient/parent calls including discussion of health/behavioral concerns and recommendations for illness management, improvement, and prevention
- Provide education to parents/patients regarding health maintenance
- Provide education to parents/patients in office (Epi pen injection use, Inhaler use, wound care, etc.)
- Follow-up with patients as needed after hospitalization, ER or UC visit
- Follow-up on labs/reports
- Assist with tracking patients for vaccine non-compliance policy
- Clean patient charts, send reminders for well check-ups and vaccine requirements
- Create referrals for patients to Care Management per doctor referral
- Order PT/OT/Speech/ABA therapy and Bili blankets
- Complete health forms as well as school/work excuses, FMLA paperwork, 504 letters, etc.
- Fax documents as requested
- Assist in scheduling lab tests, x-rays as needed and specialist appointments
- Refill/review medications with doctor guidance (or follow established protocol)
- Submit Prior Authorization forms to insurance companies
- Transfer charts to new physicians or specialists
- Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree
- Registered Nurse
- Prior experience in pediatrics preferred
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Execute excellent verbal and written communication
- Maintain an organized workspace
- Display professionalism and time management skills
- Possess strong computer skills
