Salary Range: $77,000 - $122,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Ludington that are seeking skilled HR Managers. Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production, technical, and administrative roles.
- Oversee employee relations, including grievance resolution, disciplinary actions, and conflict management.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and company standards.
- Coordinate and facilitate training programs focused on safety, skills development, and compliance for all employees.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and equity across manufacturing roles.
- Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans for plant staff.
- Support a safe working environment by collaborating with operations on health and safety initiatives and compliance.
Recommended Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, talent acquisition for production roles, and performance management
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices applicable to manufacturing
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, safety regulations, and workforce planning in a production setting
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proficiency with HRIS and data analytics for workforce reporting and strategic planning
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience managing HR in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or experience applying lean principles to HR processes.
- Proficiency in a second language relevant to the local workforce (e.g., Spanish).
- Demonstrated experience with OSHA compliance and developing safety culture initiatives.
- Background in developing and implementing apprenticeship or skilled trades training programs.
