This manufacturing engineer is a level 2 position. They are looking for someone who can hit the ground running who has the technical experience to root cause, troubleshoot and improve equipment in the facility. Biggest pieces of emphasis will be ability to deliver on cost savings & production processes as well as improve facility production as a whole. Job Description Below: Develop, implement, manage, and track new process systems and improvements that increase efficiency, safety and morale with a special emphasis on utilizing associate input and continuous improvement to meet or exceed company goals. • Develops, implements, manages and tracks new process systems and improvements that increase efficiency, safety and morale. • Educates manufacturing engineers, technicians, and (occasionally) contract personnel to promote/ensure continuous improvement. • Controls and manages project schedules, budgets, and expenses. • Develops project scopes and definitions that can apply to both internal and external resources. • Develops estimates for equipment, tooling and labor for lowest cost and highest quality solutions for new and existing business. • Identifies and selects vendors from which to order tooling and equipment. • Encourage team involvement, where associates are interviewed and participate in the corrective actions, and implementation of solutions. • Promotes Kaizen improvement initiatives and lean methods to eliminate non-value-added activities, and to improve productivity, quality, and associate morale. • Monitor manufacturing processing performance and develop improvements to help the manufacturing element be more effective and create less waste. • Fosters an environment, at all levels of the organization, conducive to rapid problem solving. • Promotes an associate relations environment that is consistent with long-term management objectives.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
NICE TO HAVES- - 4-year degree in engineering - Experience with plastic extrusion and/or plastic injection molding - Experience with electrical/PLCs - Experience with Catia - Google Suites - Hi Lex has transitioned to Google Suites from Microsoft Suites, so they have better communication with upper management.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $41.00/hr.
