Recruitment and Retention Coordinator work through the full employee life cycle, focusing on sourcing, hiring, and keeping top talent. They create recruitment strategies, conduct interviews, manage onboarding, and develop and maintain retention programs to improve employee satisfaction and reduce turnover.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS

  • Maintains knowledge of Peterson Farms policies in order to respond to employee questions and/or supervisor/manager requests.
  • Provides seamless escalation of employee inquiries to supervision/plant leadership and/or human resources for resolution.
  • Assists with implementing company lean manufacturing efforts, in conjunction with Plant Supervisors, Plant Manager, and company leaders, to drive continuous improvement across assigned facility/plant.
  • Conducts new employee onboarding at the plant level.
  • Assists with employee check-ins.
  • Maintains and develops monthly reports provided to plant leadership and support departments on monthly basis.
  • Assists Administration with contacting employees via phone or email regarding attendance issues, schedule changes, etc.
  • Ensure that each department is ready for the new hire by emailing introduction of new hire, assigning PPE for related job, ensuring employee is familiar with requirements.
  • Conducts exit interviews with departing employees to obtain necessary data to capture trends.
  • Maintains employee information confidentially and professionally.
  • Knowledge of all plant production processes.
  • Maintains retentions programs, coordinates and organizes employee appreciation events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.

Work Experience

  • Six months experience in administrative role, preferably in an HR environment.
  • Experience using ADP and Microsoft Excel highly desired.
  • Knowledge of current State Labor Laws.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficient using PC, via keyboard/mouse, and various software applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite and ADP).
  • Ability work across all shifts, plants and weekends as business dictates.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain integrity and privacy of confidential information.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and quickly assess and respond appropriately to questions.
  • Ability to adapt to change and learn quickly.
  • Good organizational skills.

  • Able to work in cold and wet environment.
