Job Title: Machine Repairman

Job Description

As a Machine Repairman, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, tearing down, rebuilding, and installing machinery such as CNC, metal stamping, plastic injection, steel, plastic, and grinding equipment in a manufacturing facility. This role involves travel up to 40% annually and requires repairs on motors, valves, pumps, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics, chains, grinders, and automation. You will work on a variety of machines daily, with welding and rigging machinery as additional tasks when necessary. General maintenance on equipment as a machine millwright is also expected.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of machinery.
• Perform tear downs, rebuilds, and installations of equipment.
• Conduct repairs on motors, valves, pumps, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics, chains, grinders, and automation systems.
• Execute general maintenance as a machine millwright.
• Travel up to 40% annually for projects.
• Perform welding and rigging as needed.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in machine repair and troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Background in rigging.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Possession of a Journeyman card is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a 1st Shift role, Monday to Friday, from 6 am to 3:30 or 4:30 pm, with 9 to 10-hour workdays. Expect to work about one weekend a month, meeting at the shop in the morning and traveling to sites with the foreman. Up to 30% travel is involved, typically for 3-5 days at a time, with travel not mandatory but encouraged. The work environment is dynamic, with varying daily end times depending on project requirements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $84200.00/yr.
