Are you a precision-driven machinist who excels in a high-tolerance environment? We are looking for a skilled Wire EDM Specialist to join our team in a key part-time role.

In this position, you aren’t just an operator—you are the subject matter expert. Middleville Engineered Solutions is looking for a veteran of the trade who can produce high-quality components while sharing your expertise to help upskill our team on best practices and machine optimization.

The Role.

Master the Machines: Set up and operate Wire EDM and Waterjet equipment—sometimes simultaneously—to produce high-quality details.

Mentor: Act as a technical resource by teaching and mentoring our team on EDM operations, troubleshooting, and setup techniques.

Programming & Precision: Load, program, and edit G-code at the control or via MasterCam.

Quality Control: Perform your own setups and pick-ups; inspect the size and fit of components using micrometers, calipers, and precision tools.

Collaborate: Work alongside our Tool Room Supervisor and CNC Machinists to improve production methods and resolve complex work problems.

Technical Expertise: Minimum of 2 years of EDM experience (veteran experience preferred).

Software/Controls: Strong working knowledge of Fanuc EDM controls and MasterCam is essential.

The "Teacher" Mindset: A willingness and ability to explain technical processes to others and help grow our internal talent.

Blueprint Fluency: Ability to read and understand part prints, color codes, CAD data, and tight tolerances.

Position Details.

Schedule: Part-time (under 32 hours per week). We are happy to discuss a schedule that works for both you and the shop.
