Physician - Hematology Oncology
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Oncologist to join our esteemed medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with various types of cancer, providing comprehensive care throughout the treatment process. This role requires a strong background in oncology, excellent patient service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine cancer diagnoses.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on the latest clinical research and best practices in oncology.
- Administer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and other oncological treatments as necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, radiologists, and nursing staff to coordinate patient care.
- Utilize EHR systems and EMR systems for accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plans.
- Monitor patients' progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as needed based on their response.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance the field of oncology.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient records.
Requirements
- **Medical Care in Cancer and Blood Disorders**
**Qualifications Needed:**
- You must be Board Certified or Board Eligible (meaning you have finished 0-5 years of training) in Hematology - THIS IS REQUIRED.
- You must be Board Certified or Board Eligible (meaning you have finished 0-5 years of training) in Medical Oncology - THIS IS REQUIRED.
- You need a license to practice in Michigan (or be ready to get one) - THIS IS REQUIRED.
- You must get a DEA license (before you start working) - THIS IS NEEDED.
- You must get a CSR/CDS license (before you start working) - THIS IS NEEDED.
