Birthday Party Attendant (Part-Time)

The Birthday Party Attendant creates fun, safe, and memorable birthday experiences for children and families at the Air Zoo. This role hosts parties from start to finish by welcoming guests, coordinating activities, serving refreshments, and delivering excellent customer service.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and engage birthday party guests in a friendly, enthusiastic manner
• Keep parties running on schedule and guide guests between activities
• Serve food and beverages and maintain clean party areas
• Monitor safety and report concerns as needed
• Set up, clean, and reset party spaces
• Work collaboratively with Guest Experience and Events staff

• Available to work weekends
• Customer service, childcare, or event experience a plus

Schedule & Location

This is a part-time position in-office/on-site at the Air Zoo in Portage, Michigan. Hours are primarily Saturday’s and Sunday’s.

Compensation

This is a non-exempt, hourly position with a starting pay of $13.75 per hour, based on skills, experience, and internal equity. Benefits include an Air Zoo museum membership, professional development opportunities, and the chance to work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Physical Requirements

Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 20 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 30 pounds, and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas including confined spaces. Ability to sit, stand, walk, or climb stairs/ladders for an extended period.
