Active Directory Architect

Akkodis is seeking an Active Directory Architect for a Contract job with a client in Ada, MI . The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Active Directory, Windows Server architecture, security hardening, Azure AD Hybrid Identity, and enterprise IAM.

Rate Range: $41/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Active Directory Architect job responsibilities include:

• Architect enterprise‑scale Active Directory environments across multi‑domain, multi‑site infrastructures.

• Design domain/forest structures, OU models, Group Policy frameworks, and AD security baselines.

• Lead AD governance definition, naming conventions, delegation models, and identity lifecycle standards.

• Oversee AD replication design, site/subnet planning, domain controller placement, and DNS/DHCP architecture.

• Design and implement secure authentication models including Kerberos, LDAP/S, OAuth, SAML and ADFS.

• Architect IAM solutions including RBAC, PAM, MFA, least‑privilege models, and identity workflows.

• Lead integration between on‑prem Active Directory and Azure AD Hybrid Identity.

• Oversee Azure AD Connect, federation services, Conditional Access, and identity governance.

• Provide architecture leadership for Windows Server builds, hardening baselines, patching, automation, and lifecycle management.

• Ensure secure Windows infrastructure in alignment with zero‑trust identity principles.

Desired Qualifications:

• 8–10+ years of enterprise Active Directory architecture and Windows infrastructure experience.

• Proven experience architecting large, multi‑domain, multi‑site AD environments.

• Strong expertise in Group Policy architecture, DNS/DHCP, AD security hardening, federation, and SSO models.

• Strong PowerShell automation capabilities; familiarity with DSC or similar automation tools.

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals—TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, load balancers.

• Experience with Azure AD, Hybrid Identity, ADFS, MFA, Conditional Access.

• Experience architecting Windows Server OS, builds, hardening, and lifecycle automation.

• Familiarity with zero‑trust frameworks, identity security, and IAM programs.

• Bachelor’s Degree required.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $53.00 per hour
