Legacy is seeking a Part-Time Housekeeper for a 53-unit senior market rate property in the Holt, Michigan area. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting residents’ apartments, common area, bathrooms, and public areas according to a schedule and established procedures. The Housekeeper will clean up after spills, accidents, and take out the garbage when necessary. The Housekeeper will also collect, wash, dry, fold, hang, and deliver laundry as needed. This position will also be required to attend any and all trainings regarding their position and housekeeping safety and standards. The ideal candidate will need to build and maintain positive relationships with staff and residents. This position is responsible for operating machines standard to a housekeeping operation including buffers, extraction equipment, vacuums, and all commercial laundry equipment, along with various other duties as assigned. Teamwork with the ability to work within different departments and with other staff is necessary to be successful.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One or more years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred, but experience is not required
• Maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas as directed, according to established standards, observing proper cleaning technique
• Following proper care, maintenance, and use of equipment
• Reporting observations concerning equipment wear, defects, and malfunctions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Customer Service attitude in all interactions with staff and residents
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
