Cable Technician – Fiber & Coax Installations

What You’ll Do

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic and coaxial cable systems .
• Perform precise cable splicing for aerial and underground projects, including homes, small businesses, and commercial sites.
• Replace damaged or outdated fiber infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues in fiber networks.
• Conduct live splicing on active devices with minimal service disruption.
• Measure and document signal strength for internet, TV, and phone services.
• Maintain accurate network documentation and system schematics.
• Educate customers on installed services and assist with basic equipment setup.

What You Bring

• Experience with Cat6, fiber optic, FTTH, punchdown, and cable installation .
• 1+ year of experience in cable installation or supervision preferred.
• Strong digital skills – comfortable using tablets, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications a plus).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass a BGC and drug screening.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
