Mortgage Sales Intern
Description
The Consumers Credit Union team is looking to hire a passionate Mortgage Sales Intern to join our team. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in the mortgage industry while supporting our underwriting department with essential tasks and processes.

What you will do:
- Act as a junior Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) or reliever during high-volume periods.
- Prepare pre-approval documentation for potential borrowers.
- Submit completed files to underwriting.
- Follow up on homeowner’s insurance (HOI) requirements.
- Conduct BSA property lookups and verification.
- Estimate property taxes for loan applications.
- Review and file documents from FastApp/unassigned queues.
- Pull and organize bank and mortgage statements.
- Support loan officers experiencing higher than normal volume to prevent production lulls.
- Assist with administrative tasks to help maintain workflow efficiency.
- Learn the mortgage application process from start to finish.
- Shadow experienced mortgage professionals.
What you'll bring to the table:
- College junior or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in learning about mortgage operations and processes.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Technology Proficiency - Knowledge of current technology, with the ability to easily navigate multiple software applications. Also, the desire to learn and use new technology.
- Detail-Oriented Efficiency – Fast-paced work ethic while maintaining strong attention to detail and organization.
- People-Focused – Natural ability to connect with others and thrive in collaborative environments.
