Metrology and PPAP Quality Technician

Wayne Wire Cloth
Hillman, MI

A day in the life

You start your shift on the production floor, acting as a roving inspector. With calipers and micrometers in hand, you verify parts against blueprints and GD&T, catching non-conformances before they move downstream. Between random line checks and dock audits, you’re capturing data for SPC and building dimensional layouts that feed PPAP, FAIR, and ISIR documentation. A quick handoff with Engineering has you assisting on MCR and ECN updates, then it’s over to your desk to refresh IMDS entries and keep international regulatory compliance current. You wrap up by coordinating with customers on sample submissions and technical files, and you log improvement ideas that make tomorrow’s shift even better.
