Dimensional Engineer

Job Description

An Insight Global customer in the OEM automotive industry is immediately hiring for a Dimensional Engineer to working on the floor in one of their plants in the Lansing, MI area. This individual will be maintaining the integrity of the front end the vehicle by utilizing the GD&T system. A large majority their time spent will be inspecting dimensions, tolerances, and part quality. This role is onsite 5 days a week, first shift, M-F in Lansing, MI.

Compensation Range: $30/hr to $35/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

o Or, 3+ years of experience working in the same or very similar role

• Experience working in either automotive, manufacturing, machining, or tooling plant setting

• Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

• Strong knowledge of GCA Score (Global Customer Audits

• A "wrenching" personal background, someone who actively workings on machines, engines, cars, etc in their free time

• Mechanically inclined - Experience working for the big 3 automotive companies in a plant setting
