Customer Service Representative
Join a dedicated team as a Customer Service Representative supporting customers with their steel processing requirements. This role is essential in ensuring customers receive timely, accurate, and high-quality service. Responsibilities
- Receive and respond to customer inquiries and process purchase orders.
- Manage inventory levels for assigned customers to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
- Complete and maintain accurate product specifications for each customer and part.
- Enter work orders and shipping releases into the management information system (MIS).
- Analyze and input material chemistries and physical properties according to customer specifications.
- Communicate regularly with customers via email and phone to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Update and maintain customer-requested documents and enter information into customer portals as required.
- Coordinate product trials and changes with customers, quality, and production scheduling teams.
- Analyze information from customer portals to support decision-making and service delivery.
- Forecast material needs based on customer requirements.
- Complete assigned projects as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proficiency with computers, including database management, word processing, and spreadsheets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Sales experience and college coursework are a plus, but not required.
