Job Description

The Laboratory Coordinator will oversee all aspects of LIMS implementation, production scheduling, and management of performance against production metrics. Collaborating closely with the Laboratory Director, the Laboratory Coordinator will manage LIMS implementation initiatives and troubleshoot issues. This role requires ensuring timely analyses to meet company and customer goals, acting as the direct liaison for the technical sales representative, and monitoring data review and report writing for accuracy and completeness.

Responsibilities

• Manage LIMS implementation issues and production scheduling.
• Collaborate with the Laboratory Director on LIMS initiatives and troubleshooting.
• Ensure timely performance of analyses to meet company and customer goals.
• Serve as the direct in-house liaison for the technical sales representative.
• Monitor report writing and data input for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform administrative tasks related to sampling data log-in, disposition, and report generation.
• Complete special projects as requested by the Laboratory Director or Vice President.
• Manage the PSA process at the laboratory.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical sciences
• 2 years of experience in a laboratory and project management
• Environmental lab project management experience is a plus

Work Environment

The candidate will work in an environmental lab located in an older, smaller building in Ypsilanti. The lab is part of a close-knit team of 22 employees who have worked together for several years, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ypsilanti, MI.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
