Salary Range: $55,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform precise dimensional measurements of components using various metrology equipment (CMM, optical comparator, hand tools).
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of measurement tools and gages.
• Generate and analyze inspection reports, identifying non-conformances and trends.
• Develop and optimize CMM programs for complex part inspection.
• Provide technical support and training to production personnel on measurement techniques and equipment.
• Maintain accurate calibration records and measurement documentation in accordance with quality standards.
• Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) and in-process quality checks to ensure product specifications are met.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and calibrating precision measurement equipment (e.g., CMMs, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers).
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Solid understanding of measurement principles, calibration standards, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Experience with metrology software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS) and data analysis tools.
• Associate's degree or technical certification in Metrology, Quality Assurance, or a related engineering discipline.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced CMM programming experience (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software for model-based inspection and analysis.
• Experience with non-contact metrology systems (e.g., laser scanners, optical comparators, structured light).
• Demonstrated ability to apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles to measurement data.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
