Warehouse Forklift
Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Operator
Location: Kentwood, MI
Pay: $18-20/hr
Shift: 1st, 2nd, and weekend shifts available
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse while following all safety protocols and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Load and unload trucks, move products to designated storage areas
- Pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate inventory records and complete necessary documentation
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including manual material handling
- Follow all company safety rules, policies, and procedures
Requirements:
- Previous forklift operation experience in a warehouse or industrial setting required
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain if needed)
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment
- Dependable with a strong attendance record
- Comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions (e.g., temperature, noise)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with RF scanners or warehouse management systems
- Ability to operate multiple types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, reach truck, pallet jack)
