Salary Range: $57,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and write CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines using CAD/CAM software.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices for various machining operations.
• Create detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and operational instructions for machine operators.
• Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure collision avoidance, optimize tool paths, and improve cycle times.
• Troubleshoot and debug programs on the machine, making necessary adjustments to achieve desired part quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with design engineers and machinists to refine part designs and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all programs, revisions, and tooling specifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM) for toolpath generation.
• Strong understanding and ability to read, write, and edit G-code and M-code.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proven experience in programming multi-axis CNC milling machines for various materials.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, and machining strategies for optimal efficiency and quality.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC mills and setting up tooling/fixtures.
• Proficiency in post-processor development or editing.
• Ability to design or contribute to workholding fixture solutions.
• Experience with advanced G-code simulation and verification software (e.g., Vericut).
