Press Shop Reliability Supervisor (Metal Stamping)
A day in this role
You kick off the shift with a quick huddle, align the maintenance techs on priority work, then walk the stamping lines to verify the presses are running smoothly. A press shows erratic tonnage—within minutes you isolate a hydraulic issue, apply lockout/tagout, and lead a safe, efficient repair. Before lunch, you coordinate with production to time a preventative changeover. Later, you mentor a technician on advanced electrical troubleshooting, review work orders for accuracy, and close the day optimizing startup settings on a recently installed press.
