Registered Nurse
The Role:
Core Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Monitoring: Observe, record, and report changes in patients’ conditions (vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment).
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or nurse practitioners.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle changes.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Procedures & Treatments: Assist with diagnostic tests, prepare patients for procedures, and perform clinical tasks such as wound care, IV insertion, catheterization, etc.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Specialized Duties (depending on setting)
- Hospital/Acute Care: Provide bedside nursing care, manage post-operative recovery, monitor critical patients.
- Community/Outpatient: Conduct health screenings, administer vaccinations, provide chronic disease management.
- Long-Term Care: Support residents with daily activities, monitor ongoing health needs, coordinate rehabilitative services.
Professional & Ethical Responsibilities
- Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, ensuring patient rights, dignity, and preferences are respected.
- Safety & Infection Control: Follow safety protocols, maintain a sterile environment, and prevent hospital-acquired infections.
- Continuing Education: Stay updated on medical knowledge, new treatments, and nursing best practices.
- Leadership & Supervision: Mentor nursing assistants or junior nurses, and sometimes manage shifts or units.
Ideal Profile:
- You have at least 2 years experience including solid experience in a similar role within Healthcare & Lifesciences.
- You are a strong team player who can manage multiple stakeholders
- You are a self-starter and demonstrate a high level of resilience
- You are highly goal driven and work well in fast paced environments
- You are willing to undertake 0-30% travel.
