Position Overview
We are seeking detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Records Technicians to join our remote team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to begin a career in healthcare administration. You will be responsible for maintaining, organizing, and securing patient health information in compliance with federal and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately review, update, and manage electronic health records (EHR)
Ensure patient information is complete, accurate, and up to date
Maintain confidentiality and security of medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Retrieve and distribute medical records upon authorized request
Perform data entry and quality checks for medical documentation
Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative teams as needed
Organize and archive records following established procedures
Qualifications
Must be a resident of the United States
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree or certification in Health Information Management or related field (preferred but not required)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Basic understanding of medical terminology
Prior administrative or data entry experience (a plus)
