Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Radiology

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans
• Analyze imaging results and provide accurate interpretations
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to discuss imaging findings
• Maintain detailed patient records and documentation of radiological services
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all imaging procedures
• Participate in peer reviews and continuous education to enhance skills
• Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate concerns
• Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology and practices

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Radiology
• 3+ years of experience in radiology, preferably in a locum or contract role
• Proficiency in interpreting various imaging modalities
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Current state medical license and certifications required for practice

Schedule: 8a-5p

Call: 5p-8a

Setting: 60% outpatient, 40% inpatient

Daily Volume: 9-10 procedures

Duties: Inpatient consults, outpatient clinic visits, inpatient and outpatient procedures, and inpatient emergencies/trauma coverage

Procedures: Biopsies, kyphoplasty, port placements, para/thora, etc.

Will supervise APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
