Position Overview

The Tree Trimming Foreman is responsible for leading a crew in all aspects of tree trimming and removal operations. This includes overseeing daily job site operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and operating or transporting equipment using a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a tree trimming crew on job sites.
• Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
• Operate aerial lifts, chippers, chainsaws, and other equipment.
• Perform ground and aerial tree work, including pruning, removals, and clean-up.
• Transport crews and equipment to and from job sites (CDL required).
• Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and supervisors.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper usage by the crew.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Valid CDL (Class B or higher) – Required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in tree trimming or related field
• Proven leadership and crew management experience
• Strong knowledge of tree care techniques and safety procedures (ANSI Z133 compliance preferred)
• Ability to work at heights and in varying outdoor conditions
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork

Preferred Qualifications

• ISA Certified Arborist or willingness to become certified
• First Aid/CPR Certification
• Experience with DOT compliance and maintenance logs
