Job Summary
The Marketing Generalist plays a key role in advancing the image, visibility, and engagement of Gillette College, with a primary focus on creating and managing social media content, marketing the athletic department, and campus design projects. This position will develop and distribute engaging digital content, support the promotion of Pronghorn Athletics, and contribute to the college’s broader marketing initiatives. The successful candidate will be a strong team player who can contribute creative ideas while aligning with institutional goals and brand standards.

- Create, schedule, and manage engaging content across Gillette College’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Partner with the Athletic Department to promote events, athletes, teams, and game-day content.
- Capture photo and video content at athletic and campus events.
- Design digital and print marketing materials using Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Maintain and update the Gillette College and Gillette College Athletics websites.
- Monitor analytics and trends to guide content strategies.
- Support digital campaigns, email marketing, and campus communications.
- Assist with general marketing duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Employees of the District are required to possess a minimum proficiency level of English, both written and spoken, that will enable them to communicate safely, effectively, and efficiently with students, co-workers, and the public.)
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field.
- Proficiency in social media management (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Expertise in Canva for content creation and campus collaboration designs.
- 3-5 years of experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
- Strong written communication and visual storytelling skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends for events.
Preferred Qualifications
· Photography and/or videography experience.
· Familiarity with WordPress and PrestoSports CMS platforms.
· 2-4 years of experience in marketing in higher education
