This role offers a hybrid schedule and is near Rochester, MI.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead regional initiatives related to HS code classification standardization and trade compliance for both manufactured and purchased goods, collaborating with global counterparts
• Serve as the primary authority on customs compliance across North American entities, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements
• Support site-level compliance with supply chain security programs (e.g., CTPAT), including coordination of customer inquiries and assessments
• Oversee and maintain trade compliance systems (e.g., GTS), including classification, origin determination, export controls, denied party screening, and embargo compliance
• Drive alignment with global logistics and trade initiatives, including packaging standardization, digital tools, and KPI reporting
• Act as the key point of contact between internal teams (legal, finance, operations) and external stakeholders such as customs brokers, consultants, and government agencies
• Build and maintain strong cross-functional and cross-regional relationships through various communication channels

What We Need From You

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:

• Strong experience with SAP
• Experience working with customs brokers
• Experience moving equipment across the border (the logistics part of the job)
• Working knowledge of IMMEX requirements (Mexican customs)
