Summary:
As the Regional Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing sales within Detroit, Michigan. The ideal candidate will live in the Detroit metro area. This dynamic and fast paced role includes a blend of new business and selling to our existing customer base to grow market share and revenues. Minimum of 2+ years Fluid Power or Cylinder sales experience preferred but would consider training right candidate.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain and grow sales levels within existing customer base while researching, networking, and identifying new prospect.
- Develop/maintain strong relationships to ensure attainment of Company business goals.
- Drive sales growth for both New Cylinder and Repair Cylinders by planning/organizing daily work schedule that maximizes time management.
- Actively manage short and long-term sales leads-advance them through the sales process.
- Work with Inside Sales Team to help sell quoted customers and follow sales orders.
- Willingness to respond to customer needs 24/7
- Local cylinder pick-up and delivery as required
- Develop Pre-Call plans for every sales call that produces positive actionable items for account growth and promotes the imagine of the Company.
- Analyze account data to track growth areas and identify new opportunities.
- Maintain call schedule in CRM Calendar and update contacts/accounts within this platform
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints/problems.
- Road Warrior – up to 85% (+) traveling including extensive overnight travel
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to succeed in a demanding environment
- Good math aptitude.
- Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills with sales aptitude.
- Ability to identify and meet customers’ needs and requirements.
- Must be a self-starter, problem solver and able to work independently covering a large territory.
- Must identify with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle a large customer base
- Experience selling to OEM, end users, and distributors
- Strong technical background in industrial sales/manufacturing with heavy emphasis on Steel Mills
