Data Capture Clerk

We are seeking a focused and detail-oriented Remote Data Capture Clerk to collect, input, verify, and maintain high volumes of data in our systems. You will be responsible for capturing information from various sources—paper-based documents, digital forms, and external databases—and ensuring it is entered accurately into company systems. This is a remote position requiring self-discipline, strong attention to detail, and basic technical proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Capture and input data from source documents into digital systems or databases.

Review incoming data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.

Identify and correct errors in data before entry.

Organize and maintain electronic files and records.

Perform regular data validation, cross-checking, and quality assurance tasks.

Work with confidential information in compliance with data protection policies.

Communicate with internal teams to clarify information or resolve discrepancies.

Meet daily/weekly data entry targets and deadlines.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (a diploma in Office Administration or Data Processing is a plus).

Minimum 1 year of data capture, clerical, or administrative experience preferred.

High typing speed with accuracy (recommended: 45+ WPM).

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and data entry software/systems.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data.

Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and manage time effectively.

Good written communication and basic numeracy skills.

Familiarity with email, cloud tools (Google Drive, Microsoft 365), and file-sharing platforms.

Technical Requirements :

Stable internet connection (preferably uncapped fibre or LTE).

Reliable computer or laptop (minimum system requirements may vary by company).

Quiet home workspace with minimal distractions.
