We are looking for an Anesthesiologist to join our medical group full time in Lansing, MI. We are seeking an Anesthesiologist with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who has the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and their families and positive bedside manner, can establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff, exceptional time management and organizational skills with strong attention to accuracy and detail, and is adaptable and responsive to change with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. This is an excellent opportunity within a privately run, lifestyle clinic with a long-standing history of retained staff- we take the time to allow our physicians flexibility in scheduling, downtime on all shifts, and opportunities for advancement with a potential medical director position available soon. We offer a flexible schedule- allowing for bunched shifts to allow for significant time off each month!
We are a well-established hospital based, private practice group of 9 anesthesiologists, that has provided the highest level of care to our community for over 30 years. Along with our well-respected team of physicians, we also always have additional CRNA support including nights and weekends. We are seeking a physician who demonstrates clinical excellence, strong communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered, team-based care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize a multidisciplinary approach, coordinating with other healthcare professionals (Physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing team) to provide comprehensive care.
- Supervise and medically direct CRNAs
- Administer and manage medications and interventions as needed, while monitoring for effectiveness and potential side effects.
- Educate patients and their families on anesthesiology strategies and potential side effects
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and notes.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities and stay current on advancements in techniques.
- Collaborate with colleagues to optimize patient care
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- BCBE Anesthesiologist
- Medical license in MI
- Full time (6-8 shifts per month) Optional extra shifts available for increased earning potential. Can be bunched together (or separated) to allow for significant time off each month
