Project Manager

Kforce has a client in Lansing, MI that is seeking a Project Manager. A large enterprise organization is seeking a project management professional to support the delivery of technology initiatives across multiple business units. The environment includes Agile and traditional delivery frameworks and emphasizes structured governance, cross-functional collaboration, and consistent delivery of business value. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, with potential conversion to a permanent role based on performance and business needs after 6-12 months. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and manage small to medium-sized technology projects from initiation through delivery
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements
• Develop project roadmaps, delivery strategies, and risk mitigation plans aligned with business goals
• Oversee execution of project plans, including task assignments and coordination of internal and external teams
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders, technical teams, and end users to define requirements and document solutions
• Monitor project progress across multiple Agile teams and business units to ensure timely delivery of outcomes
• Track and report on scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, and issues; escalate as needed
• Prepare and distribute regular project status updates to stakeholders and leadership
• Coordinate with enterprise governance and portfolio management functions to ensure compliance with standards and reporting requirements
• Support operational readiness and deployment activities as part of project completion
• Mentor and support other project teams as needed
• Use project portfolio management (PPM) and Agile tools to track progress, productivity, and performance
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification (preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in IT or software project management
• Experience supporting systems development or application delivery projects
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and traditional project management practices
• Experience working in a scaled Agile environment (e.g., SAFe preferred)
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to analyze complex problems and make sound independent decisions
• Experience using PPM tools and Agile tracking systems
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
