401(k) Retirement Plan Consultant

We are recruiting for a full-time Retirement Plan Consultant to support a growing retirement plan practice. This fully remote position is ideal for an organized, client-focused professional with hands-on 401(k) plan experience who can manage ongoing service requirements while building strong relationships with plan sponsors, participants, recordkeepers, TPAs, and financial advisors.

Responsibilities

• Manage CRM records for new opportunities, accounts, client activity, and service deliverables

• Maintain quarterly client contact schedules and coordinate annual plan reviews and employee education meetings

• Prepare reports, materials, and account information for client meetings

• Respond promptly and professionally to plan sponsor and participant questions

• Serve as a liaison among clients, recordkeepers, TPAs, financial advisors, and other retirement plan partners

• Support participant education programs and related communications

• Identify potential retirement plan and ancillary service opportunities and refer them to the appropriate advisor

• Document plan details, meeting notes, payroll providers, employer matches, and service activity accurately

• Assist with special projects and adjust to evolving business priorities

Qualifications

• At least three years of professional experience supporting retirement plans, primarily 401(k) plans

• Working knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and Department of Labor requirements, including Form 5500, nondiscrimination testing, and plan design

• Experience working with recordkeepers, TPAs, and financial advisors

• Strong client service, critical-thinking, organizational, and follow-through skills

• High level of accuracy when managing detailed plan and participant information

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Zoom, CRM platforms, and related business technology

• Ability to work independently and consistently meet expectations in a fully remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting 3(21) or 3(38) fiduciary services and quarterly deliverables

• Series 6 and Series 63 licenses

• Foundational investment knowledge
